Can I swim at the Marina?

No, swimming is not permitted inside the marina.

Is there fishing on the marina at Callville Bay?

No, fishing is not permitted inside the marina.

What is the current status of the boat ramp?

The launch ramp is open with one lane on concrete. For updates, please call the marina directly at 702-565-4813.

Do you have Jet Skis?

Jet Skis are currently not available.

What is the pet policy?

Pets are beloved companions but, sadly, these furry friends don’t always follow the house rules. Therefore, a one-time, non-refundable pet fee of $100.00 will be applied per pet for houseboats and $25.00 per pet for day boat rentals.

What is the weather like?

Average temperatures

• Spring months: Daytime highs reach 80-98°F and Nighttime lows reach 50-66°F – Water temp Mar – May 55-68
• Summer months: Daytime highs reach 89-115°F – Water temp June – Aug 72-84°F
• Fall months: Daytime highs reach 59-83°F and Nighttime lows reach 32-50°F – Water temp Sept – Nov 78-63°F
• Winter months: Daytime highs reach 57-69°F and nighttime lows reach 30-40°F – Water temp Dec – Feb 58-54°F

Can I rent a houseboat for one day?

Unfortunately, we do not allow houseboat rentals for just one day.

If I rent a slip, can my friend use it?

Friends may use the slip renters’ boat; however, they may not store any additional vessel(s) in the slip that haven’t been registered with the office by the slip renter.

Is there a BBQ on the houseboat?

All houseboats are equipped with a gas grill.

Is there a large ice chest on the boat rentals?

There are no ice chests on the day boat rentals except for the 44’ Patio Pontoon which has a 120qt. All houseboats are equipped with ice chests.

Are there any restaurants on the water?

The Las Vegas Boat Harbor has two restaurants on the water. Please refer to their website for hours. Seasonally Callville Bay offers a snack bar on the water, please refer to Callvillebay.com for more information.

How much is fuel?

Fuel costs are constantly changing, please call 702-565-4813 for current costs.

Where can I get ice?

Available at the Marina Store year around.

Any shade on Lake Mead?

There are a few places with trees and shade, however most of the lake is without shade.

Can I visit Hoover Dam from Callville Bay?

Unfortunately, you cannot access Hoover Dam from Callville Bay, however you may view Hoover Dam from Lake Mead. Hoover Dam is 32 miles from Callville Bay by car.

Are rental boats already in the water?

Yes

Can I live on my houseboat if I rent the slip year-round?

There are limitations set by the national park service, please refer to Lake Mead Backcountry for more information.

What kind of fish are in Lake Mead?

Smallmouth Bass, Striped Bass, Channel Catfish and Bluegill

Is there shopping centers close to Lake Mead?

Yes, the nearest shopping centers are in Henderson, NV – Smith’s Marketplace, Albertsons, Walmart and Costco.

Do you offer shuttle service from Las Vegas to Lake Mead?

No, however there are several transportation companies in Las Vegas that are for hire. Note: please schedule your return trip prior to being dropped off as it’s difficult to get transportation from Callville Bay back to Las Vegas.

Do you have an RV campground with full hookups?

Is there WiFi on houseboats?

No, once you leave the marina, depending on your service, you will have little to no service.

Is there WiFi in the campground?

Please be advised that there is currently no wifi reception available. Cellular service for most carriers is available.
